Reppy — Privacy Policy
Reppy (“Sport Unlock”, “we”, “the app”) helps you meet daily exercise goals before using entertainment apps. This policy describes what the app processes on your device. We do not operate a user account system or a backend that collects your content in the release build described in our open-source repository.
1. Data we process (on device)
- Camera (ephemeral) — Live preview frames for jump rope, push-ups, hula hoop, sit-ups, squats, and timed plank goals on iPhone, iPad, and Android. Frames are analyzed in memory; not saved to Photos and not uploaded by app code.
- Steps / physical activity — Today’s step count for “walk” goals (iOS Motion & Fitness; Android
ACTIVITY_RECOGNITIONand on-device step module). - Contract & progress — Goals, deadlines, per-sport counts, and lock settings stored locally (AsyncStorage and app private files).
- Installed apps (Android) — When you open the app picker, we query launchable apps for display name, package name, and icon on device only.
- Foreground app (Android lock) — If you enable Accessibility, the app reads the foreground application package name (and window metadata for overlays) to block apps you selected until goals are met. We do not collect message text, passwords, or upload package lists to a server.
- Usage events (Android) — With Usage Access, recent foreground app events may be read locally to improve lock detection (
PACKAGE_USAGE_STATS). - Screen Time / Family Controls (iPhone and iPad) — With your authorization, Apple’s frameworks shield apps you choose until the day contract is complete. We do not receive your content from other apps.
2. What we do not do
- No sale of personal data.
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDKs in the app source.
- No cloud upload of camera video, pose data, or browsing history in app code.
3. Subscriptions (Reppy Pro) & in-app purchases
Optional Reppy Pro is an auto-renewable monthly subscription sold through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Payment, renewal, cancellation, and refund eligibility are handled by Apple or Google under their terms. We do not operate a separate billing backend; subscription status is checked on-device via StoreKit / Play Billing. We do not receive your full payment card number.
4. Permissions
- Camera — Exercise counting (optional per sport).
- Motion & Fitness / Activity recognition — Step goals.
- Accessibility (Android) — Optional app lock; prominent in-app disclosure before opening system settings.
- Usage access (Android) — Optional helper for foreground app detection.
- Screen Time (iPhone and iPad) — Shields apps you choose until the day’s exercise contract is done.
- Photos — A lock-screen image you pick stays on the device and is not uploaded.
We do not request microphone access for release builds (RECORD_AUDIO disabled).
5. Retention & deletion
Data stays on your device until you change settings, clear app storage, or uninstall the app.
6. Children
The app is a self-discipline tool for general audiences, not directed at children under 13 as a primary audience.
7. Changes
